Product surface
Codex Voice is not a generic chatbot demo. The page now shows the desktop dock, browser demo, docs path, and private-source boundary as one product story.
Desktop dock
Private source, public proof
Current screenshots
The gallery now uses separate current screenshots instead of repeating the old sandbox placeholder.
Dock
The dock keeps the voice state and active thread context close to the coding surface.
Demo
The public demo proves the interaction loop before anyone needs the private desktop setup.
Current state
Codex Voice can be evaluated through the current screenshots and docs while the source and local setup stay private.
This keeps the page honest: private source, no public install, and no implication that the product is a downloadable SDK.

A structured overview for trying the project and understanding what is included.

# Codex Voice Codex Voice is a source-backed local voice companion for Codex workflows. ## What it ships today - a reference Electron dock for the desktop workflow - reusable internal packages for the voice product surface - a LiveKit worker for spoken interaction - a thin bridge for thread linking and grounded context ## Current milestone The current milestone is a usable internal dock with compact and regular UI modes, stable spoken interaction, and thread snapshot grounding that is good enough for active daily iteration. ## Current boundaries Codex Voice is not a published SDK, public API, or installable project. The public page should explain the dock, worker, bridge, and workflow without exposing private setup steps. ## Review path Use the public demo, screenshots, and docs to understand the product direction. Source and local setup remain private for now.

@lowluds
The current milestone is no longer about isolated experiments. The dock UI, spoken loop, and thread grounding are now stable enough to use as one internal workflow surface.
@lowluds
The bridge path now keeps the worker focused on linked thread state and repo-local retrieval instead of falling back to a generic assistant answer loop.
Use the docs and current screenshots to understand the workflow. Source access and setup stay private.
